Since 1995, Sa Pobla celebrates its annual edition of the "Festival de Jazz". That project began as a proposal from a group of young people with the objective of introducing some alternatives to the long and hot summers at Sa Pobla town, and it's consolidating as a major music event.
Although at the early days the concerts programme included a variety of styles, the main objective has been to offer concerts that respect musicals traditions, especially jazz music - so left behind in this island programmes-and also could please all kinds of audience.
All these years of music are now worthy of consideration, and in the memory of many people will remain great performances that were produced by the Sa Pobla Council and got the effort of musicians and organisers, plus the participation of an audience who shows an increasing loyalty towards our Festival.
